Dr. James Jose

NSIKC - President
I am humbled and privileged to pen a few words to my brethren of neurosciences as then President of NSI Kerala Chapter. The elected team expresses our sincere gratitude for the trust and faith you have reposed in us.
The medical fraternity have weathered the global storm of the Corona pandemic and it seems for now, we are headed into calmer waters. We all could see “Further” because we had the good fortune to stand on the shoulders of giants. I pay homage to all our past stalwarts who have nurtured neurosciences from its infancy to the cutting edge science it is today. Our last TV M NSI Kerala Chapter organised by Dr.Ajith (Neurosurgeon) is team was a successful affair as we all enjoyed the warm hospitality and the academic sessions.
The workshops organised throughout the state was success by any measure. Our past president Dr Mohammed Kunju has named the benchmark and we hope our team are equal to the staff challenge ahead. The future of any field of Medical science is in three T’s Training, Teamwork & Technology. We should focus on training & teaching our post graduates and it’s wise to remember – “A chain is only as strong as its weakest link”.
The revolution in neurosciences has blurred the boundaries of surgeon is physician, and it’s imperative for them to work and fight together as a team to ultimately help the man on the ground – ‘The patient’.
Our zeal to embrace the latest technological advancement, should be tempered by the wisdom that more often than not where clinical acumen and simple procedure will suffice – ‘Doing less means more’.
This old warhorse, who is probably on one of his last tones of duty would like to remind all the young guns is the other warhorses (young is old) “Don't forget to live your life” . Develop a hobby outside work keep your work close but your family closer.
Long live the NSI Stay Happy, healthy & Safe.
